Until quite recently, Boucherouite rugs were only used by the families of the Moroccan Berber women who make them. Hard to find, even in the souks, they are steadily growing in popularity and finding their way into homes across the globe.

Bohemia Boucherouite Rug

Boucherouite rugs are made high up in remote villages in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. They are handwoven from recycled fabrics, ripped into lengths and then skillfully knotted into place on a hand loom.

The patterns are wild and the vibrant colours can change from one side of the rug to the other, depending on the creative whim of the weaver. Literally anything goes, there are no rules, and no two Boucherouites are ever the same. We love them!
